This is a birthday present I made for my husband 35th birthday on March 8. I looked up the photo in Flickr and found a nice crocheted duck by IamSusie. I don't have a pattern so I made one by using that photo as an inspiration. For the heart, I use the same pattern as my valentine's heart.
My husband real nickname is "Tong (ตง)" but none of his friend calls that. When he was a high school student, his friends called him "Ped" which means "duck" in Thai. He adopted it since then and later ducks are like the symbol of our family.
Happy Birthday, honey. We love you. : )
Edit (March 18, 2008): I later made a thinner mouth because I prefer it that way.
